General Data Protection Regulations Policy Statement 2021

Volunteers Information:

LIGHTWATER CONNECTED collects and handles data from all Volunteers for the sole purpose of helping to plan and organise its day-to-day operation. Volunteer’s details are never given to outside bodies for any reason without specific consent.

The basic and only data collected comprises:

Names

Addresses

Email addresses

Phone numbers

We have a duty to make sure this is kept up-to-date and all volunteers should make every effort to advise us if there are any changes to their data.

Data is only retained as long as the volunteer remains a member of LIGHTWATER CONNECTED and is deleted as soon as practicable after the Organisation is notified that membership has ceased.

External Clients:

LIGHTWATER CONNECTED keeps a register of those visiting its Office and this will often record the names and contact details of clients if provided as a necessary part of the advice and service. Such data is kept confidential within the Organisation and is never given to any outside body or person without the specific permission of the client upon each referral.

Clients details are also taken for the purpose of fulfilling the clients' requests.
